Please click here for the recommended electric setup The 72” Sunderland
follows a similar design
philosophy as both the Boeing
B-17 and the Avro Lancaster.
The plan features fully
built up construction using
balsa and plywood. The fuselage
is slab sided structure
with a rolled balsa top
and the hull made from cross
sheeted the underside. The
use of a fuselage jig will
help the fuselage build.
The wings are a built-up
structure of ribs over a
main spar and balsa sheeted.
The tailplane and fin are
both constructed from solid
sheet balsa. The plan is full-size on two sheets The VAC form set includes
the cockpit canopy, forward,
upper and rear turrets and
four radial cowls. Please Note Postage to the UK Mainland is free of charge.
