67" Mitsubishi A6M Zero RCM&E Special Plan 2016

Similar in construction to most of our other 'warbirds' this model once again takes a simplistic approach to what is a complicated full-size aircraft, full of compound curves! Although the model uses curved balsa wood to achieve that traditional Zero look, it is surprisingly easy to build and proved a real joy to fly.

There's a saying that if it looks right, it will fly right and this version of the Zero epitomises this saying to a tee. The model is well mannered and with flaps extended, floats beautifully at low speed and remains reassuringly stable.

The construction of the Zero, as with all our models is traditional, so no foam anywhere. Jjust good old fashioned balsa and plywood.

The plans are full size and reproduced on two very large sheets of quality paper.

A VAC form set is available which includes a canopy, a scale spinners and radial cowl. As with all our models, a CNC pack and wood pack, to complete the model is available. (Please note that the wood pack assumes you are using the CNC pack in conjunction). The CNC pack includes all fuselage formers, fuselage sides, the wing ribs, fin & tailplane parts and much more.

To assist the building of this model, we have made available a free down load of the build article used in the 2016 RCM&E Special.

As per usual, we have worked with 4-Max Models Ltd who have put together a superb bespoke electric flight package using their high quality Black Series of Brushless Motors turns a scale diameer 3-bladed prop and has more then enough power even if your Zero is a couple of pounds over the target weight. Lastly and possibly the most important part of your build is a photographic construction log which is also available as a free download for you to print out.
These photos will be invaluable and we would suggest downloading these before you start work so you can familiarise yourself with the build.
